San Jose, CA – Bellarmine College Preparatory will hold its 44th Golden Bell Auction on Saturday, March 14. More than 650 guests are expected to attend the nautical-themed event titled, “Sail the Ocean Blue.”
The on-campus gala will begin with an optional Mass held in the Leontyne Chapel, followed by a reception featuring hors d’ oeuvres provided by A Catered Affair, cocktails, and silent auction items. Fine dining entrees will be prepared by the Bellarmine culinary staff, led by executive chef Jeremy Soulia.
Guests will also be entertained throughout the evening by the Speakeasies Swing Band, the musical group who return this year by popular demand based on their performance at last year’s Golden Bell Auction.
Professional auctioneer Mark Alman, who is also the parent of a Bellarmine alumnus, will again lead the live auction that will feature many unique items, including a variety of dining and entertainment experiences, from concerts and celebrity meet and greets to San Francisco 49ers season tickets.
Proceeds from the annual Golden Bell Auction will benefit Bellarmine College Prep’s Direct Tuition Assistance Fund. With 25 percent of Bellarmine’s 1,650 students receiving tuition assistance, the school’s financial aid budget this academic year exceeds $5.1 million.
