Saint John Vianney (SJV) Catholic School celebrated the Christmas Season with a December evening of beautiful voices from their transitional kindergarten to fourth grade students. The presence of Jesus was truly within the children as they sang songs that reflected the theme, “For Unto Us A Child Is Born.”

From songs such as, “Away In A Manger” by the transitional kindergarteners and “Silent Night” by the first grade class, to “The First Noel” by second grade students, “We Three Kings” by the Kindergarteners, and “Do You Hear What I Hear” by the third grade students, the church was filled with the children’s wonderful voices dressed in their finest Christmas formal outfits as the SJV community celebrated the coming birth of Jesus. The fourth grade class narrated the Nativity story between songs and sang “O Holy Night.” All the students sang the last song of the evening, “Mary, Did You Know,” with such energy and beauty, and it certainly brought happy tears to many parents’ eyes. Mrs. Spencer, SJV’s Vice-Principal, exclaimed, “Listening to the children’s voices was truly a prayerful moment.”

It was a wonderful evening coordinated by SJV’s Music Director, Ms. Piazza; Vice-Principal, Mrs. Spencer, and Fourth Grade Sub, Mrs. Borges. The Saint John Vianney Catholic School community truly felt the presence of Jesus that night.
