Saint Lucy Food and Fun Fest Celebrates 33 years

Parent volunteers gather after another successful event.

Members of the Saint Lucy School community were grateful that the Saint Lucy Fun Fest was able to light up the night sky for a 33rd year in Campbell this October.  Fun Fest is more than a typical school carnival fundraiser.  It is a weekend-long celebration of the welcoming and supportive Saint Lucy School community, drawing crowds of school families, grandparents, parishioners, alumni families and people from the City of Campbell and the surrounding areas.

It would not be possible without the hard work of our Saint Lucy School faculty and parents, current and alumni, whose dedication to the students and school is amazing.  Saint Lucy Fun Fest is an event for guests of all ages, filled with fabulous food (who doesn’t love the apple pie?!), fantastic entertainment, the annual alumni reception, carnival rides and games, and both a live and silent auction.  There is something for everybody.

A special highlight is Fun Fest Friday night’s Alumni Reception, where the school is proud to welcome back over 200 alumni, parents of alumni and teachers from the 1950’s through the most recent grads from the Class of 2019.

Every year the school also honors parent volunteers who are graduating from Saint Lucy School, working their final Fun Fest shifts as current parents.  Their dedication and passion for the school over the years has not gone unnoticed.

Principal Sue Grover added, “Twenty-three families celebrated their last official Fun Feast.  It was wonderful to still see their excitement carry over the many years.  They will be greatly missed, but will hopefully return to the Alumni Reception.”
