Village House Celebrates Volunteers at Appreciation Dinner

On September 5, Village House celebrated a volunteer appreciation dinner, hosted by our partner church, Cathedral of Faith.  The dinner, sponsored by Thrivent Financial Services, hosted over 100 volunteers from Village House to show appreciation for their service.

Village House is an interfaith shelter, funded by Father Brendan McGuire and his team at Holy Spirit Parish. Village House partners include several diocesan churches, along with other Christian, Lutheran, and Presbyterian communities.

The shelter provides overnight accommodations for up to 15 women, carefully selected and screened for referral by the Valley Homeless HealthCare Program in San Jose. Each partner hosts the guests for one month, providing both facilities and volunteers to run the operation.

The program is always seeking volunteers who want to participate in this important ministry, and more information is available on our website, www.villagehousesccca.com.
