Radiate Family Camp

Families got to enjoy time roasting marshmallows for s’mores.

Seeing how so many families get buried in the busyness of life in the Silicon Valley, it seems necessary to take some time to get away and have quality time together. Holy Family Parish’s Radiate – Family Camp was designed to do just that. Family Camp brought miracles of time spent together to busy families, miracles of community to families new to our parish and miracles of renewal in faith and spirit. Families showed up, approaching the weekend unsure of what to expect from our first annual Family camp and God showed up turning these families into communities of love.

The weekend was spent at Mount Hermon Ponderosa Lodge playing games, hearing talks, doing activities as families and enjoying time as families. We noticed that phones and electronics didn’t come out the entire time! The theme of the weekend – Radiate – gave families time to consider the role they have in their family and in showing love to each other. It is from this love, first grown in the family, that we radiate the love of Christ to others.

Overall, the weekend was fabulous. Families were so grateful to have time to spend together uninterrupted by sports, tv or chores. The beauty of family camp is that you are with your family. Whether your family is big or small, the time spent nurturing family relationships is unforgettable!

We hope that your family will join us next year, over Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26, 2019) for this priceless experience!
