Sharing Spring Smiles at Resurrection School

TK & sixth grade buddies show their completed hyacinth, meant to bring a smile to the residents of Belmont Village.

In April, the TK and sixth grade buddy classes at Resurrection School spent buddy time creating Spring daffodil and hyacinth art to help bring spring smiles to the residents in the Memory Care Neighborhood at Belmont Village in Sunnyvale.

All of the students worked hard to follow directions, carefully cut and paste, and artistically decorate their work to mirror the bright and fresh feeling that Spring brings. In this Easter season, the students have been reflecting not only on the Risen Christ but also on the miracle of new life and the importance of new beginnings.

Although God has created so many different things on the earth to show us His love and power, there is something especially captivating about His garden. It is very exciting and rewarding to watch our students bloom just like the flowers they created. Additionally, it is a wonderful feeling to know that we can bloom smiles on the faces of others with our simple actions.
