As President, in the new administrative model, Miller will be the head of school, sustaining the mission and guiding Presentation into the future.

In a letter from the Board of Directors, it read in part …”during a thorough search process and following lengthy discussion, the rating of the candidates’ responses and consideration of the skills and gifts needed at this time to support the new administrative model, the Search Committee unanimously recommended Katherine Georgiev to be the next Principal. They noted Katherine’s administrative experience, her work in academics and student services, her mindfulness of data-based decision-making, and her commitment to the mission of the Sisters of the Presentation and the educational vision of the school. Katherine also has a proven track record of strategic thinking and a deep desire to see Presentation continue to be an exemplary Catholic secondary school for young women. Katherine will report to the President and supervise the daily operations of the school including all academic and student programs.”

Georgiev graduated from UC Davis, with a BA in Political Science and Economics. From Santa Clara University, she earned a Certificate in Catholic School Leadership, and a Masters in Educational Administration; from the State of California, she earned Secondary Teaching and Administrative Credentials. Georgiev is equally qualified by her experience. She has been at Presentation for 9 1/2 years and has taught in the social studies department, spent two years as Vice Principal of Student Activities before moving to her current position, currently in her third year as Vice Principal of Academics.

Mary Miller says the following about Georgiev and her readiness for this role, “Katherine has the skills, the heart, and the vision to be an excellent principal. The future of Presentation will be in capable hands under her leadership.”
