Saint Simon Celebrates 50th Graduation


Saint Simon School, Los Altos, held its 50th graduation, sending 71 students into high school. Pastor Reverend V. Warwick James presented diplomas, assisted by Principal Steve Rummell.

Saint Simon, founded by the late Reverend James L. Spooncer held its first graduation in 1967 with students later attending such colleges as Stanford, Santa Clara University, Menlo College, Air Force Academy, UC schools Davis and San Luis Obispo, Harvard, Yale and others.

Among the guests was Joseph (Jay) Schram, a member of the first class and uncle of the Gendel twins, Rose and Lillie, of the 50th class.
