Monsignor Craig Harrison to speak at Transfiguration Church


Monsignor Craig Harrison will speak at Transfiguration Church in San Jose on December 13, at 7 p.m. His talk is entitled, “Our Advent Spiritual Journey–Slow Down, Simplify and Sanctify.”

Monsignor Harrison, pastor of Saint Francis of Assisi parish in Bakersfield, is an adoptive father of eight children and nineteen grandchildren. He was recently awarded the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF) Mother Teresa award. He’s also the recipient of many other awards including the Plank Foundation Humanitarian of the Year, NCEA Distinguished Pastor, and Leukemia Society Man of the Year.

He’s also the author of “Angel Girl.” He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business and Economics with a minor in psychology. He received his Master’s Degree of Divinity from Saint John’s Seminary in Camarillo and was ordained in 1987.

Monsignor Craig’s popular talks are filled not only with humor but human examples of how we can draw closer to Jesus during this Advent season. There will be time for questions and discussion.
