On July 16, American Heritage Girls (AHG) Troop CA0319 showed their support for the police of the nation by visiting the Milpitas Police Department. The girls brought homemade cards for the officers along with some donuts and told them how much their service is appreciated.

Seven-year-old Therese stated, “I hope the policeman liked the poem I wrote.”

The officers were grateful for the visit. They introduced the girls to everyone there, gave them a tour, and answered all the girls’ questions. When asked how she enjoyed the visit, five year-old Josie exclaimed, “I really liked meeting the police dog!”

American Heritage Girls is a Christ-centered non-profit character development youth ministry. This scouting program for girls ages 5-18 is dedicated to building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country. It focuses on six program emphases: life skill enhancement, girl leadership, teamwork, character development, social development and spiritual development. Troop CA0319 started under Father Michael Hendrickson at Saint Francis Cabrini Church, and is the first and only Catholic AHG Troop in the valley.
