18 Bellarmine Students Announced as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced that 18 Bellarmine College Preparatory seniors have qualified as semifinalists in the 62nd Annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These young men will be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2017.

The Bellarmine students announced as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists are: Peter Boenninghausen, Nathan Chan, Kevin Chang, Brandon Chow, Quentin Delepine, Bao Dinh, Cole Hammers, Johannes Hui, Benjamin Ma, Dan Ngo, Pranaya Pahwa, Trevor Perey, William Pramono, Max Ryan, Arvind Sridhar, Bryon Tjanaka, Simon Trinh, and Maxwell Yun.

The selection of some 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of approximately 16,000 semifinalists nationwide will be determined next spring.

The National Merit Scholarship Program, according to the NMSC, “honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.”
