Yes, summer has arrived in the Valley of Saint Clare and the Diocese of San Jose and what’s not to be excited about that.
Where did this year go? It just seems like yesterday we were celebrating the Birth of Christ with Christmas and New Year’s and soon we’ll be enjoying the Red-White-and-Blue of the Fourth of July. Time does fly the older you get and I don’t like that; I want it to go verrrrry sloooow.
With this final issue of June, the staff of The Valley Catholic goes on its summer hiatus. We will return with our next issue August 23 (deadline August 5). Just because we’ll be on break, doesn’t mean we’ll be taking a break from communicating the news of the Diocese. To stay up-to-date with the happenings, please follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and of course the newspaper’s website – TVC.DSJ.org and the Diocesan website – www.DSJ.org.
We’ll also be working to make a better product for you to enjoy. You might not notice the changes, but they’ll be there. Our goal is to spread the news of the great things happening in the Diocese of San Jose and the great, faithful people making it happen.
As always we welcome your submissions to The Valley Catholic. You can send them to me directly (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will do my best to get them in the newspaper. I also want to hear from you about what’s happening in your community. Feel free to email or call me (408-983-0228).
Here’s to a fantastic Summer of 2016.
Safe Travels and God Bless!
