After completing their rainforest unit in science, the fourth grade students of Saint John Vianney School extended their learning into a service project by earning money to contribute to Kids Saving the Rainforest. This organization is dedicated to educating people about the ecological importance of the rainforest and caring for its animals. Of the more than $600 earned, Ms. Baró’s Room 408 donated money to support the orphaned baby sloth nursery, and Mrs. Hassinger’s Room 407 contributed to building monkey bridges to allow the mono titi monkeys to avoid traveling on electrical wires.
