Saint Leo eighth graders recently created gravity-powered rollercoasters in Science class after studying force and motion. The top three coasters from the class entered into the Roller Coaster Contest at California’s Great America Physics, Math & Science Day. The eighth grade spent the day at Great America, riding rollercoasters and completing a math scavenger hunt. The day was topped by one of St. Leo’s coasters was awarded “Most Likely to Be Built by Great America.” Congratulations to Sarah deMattos, Erica Barandica, Ella Schnaars, and Sarah San Miguel.
