The recently completed Rosary Garden at Saint Catherine School in Morgan Hill was dedicated on May 24 with students, parents, and friends of Saint Catherine present. The prayer service for the dedication to our Blessed Mother was led by members of the Student Council with Pastor Monsignor Jeronimo Gutierrez blessing the rosary stones, bench, and statue of Mary. The student body prayed a decade of the rosary to honor the occasion.
The Rosary Garden was the brainchild of the school’s Rosary Club moderator, Kathleen Gomes. On a trip to Colorado last summer, she visited the Shrine of Saint Frances Cabrini and saw the beautiful Rosary Garden there. Upon her return, she began planning for one at Saint Catherine School where her six children attended.
The Rosary Garden is available for prayer by classes and students during the school day. On evenings, weekends, and holidays, the Garden will be open for all parishioners to enjoy.
