Super Bowl 50! Holy Family School students scored a touchdown with an NFL flag to fly on the school’s flagpole during the week of the Super Bowl. The school was the only school in Santa Clara County that was privileged enough to do so. Jack Groh, Program Director for the NFL Environment Program and organizer of the Super Kids Project, was so impressed with the students’ support of school supplies, sports equipment and cell phones that he gave the school a flag to fly. He heard about the school’s efforts in becoming a “green” school and flying a recycling flag; so Mr. Groh wanted to honor the students’ hard work and support of the NFL program. His only requirement was to take a picture that he could share on @NFL Green, @superbowl and @verizon green.
