During this school year, Saint Leo the Great Catholic School has begun to implement Project-Based Learning and STEM education into the curriculum for the PreK through 8th grades. As part of this change, the library was converted into a STEM Learning Center. All library books were moved to a different location on campus and plans are being discussed so that the students can continue to use the books. The STEM Learning Center is furnished with six SMART Interactive Collaborative Tables, five iMac Desktop computers, two MakerBot 3-D Printers, and one InFocus Mondopad Touchscreen Display. On January 31, the STEM Learning Center was available for prospective and current parents to view and see the room as the technology and other upgrades are occurring. There will be a grand opening of the room when the upgrades have been completed.
