Bishop Oscar Cantú will preside at a Mass in celebration of Black History Month at 6:30 p.m. on February 15 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph.
This is the First Diocesan Black History Month Mass and is an opportunity for the people of African descent and their friends to liturgically celebrate their African heritage.
The theme of the Mass is “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations” from Matthew 28:19.
The Mass is being organized by Catholics of African Descent in the Diocese of San José. A reception will follow in Cathedral Hall.
