Student Council is an important part of our leadership group at Holy Family School. Becoming a member of student council means leading the morning prayer, attending meetings, and coordinating events on campus. More importantly, they are the students that set an example for leadership and peacemakers at our school. The eight student council members began the school year by bringing awareness to the National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Mrs. Caron and Mrs. Lecheler, the student council teacher coordinators, organized a “Be A Hero…Go For The Gold” fundraiser to raise awareness and money for Childhood Cancer Research. Students purchased free dress day for $5 and wore “Gold” on October 9 in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness. The entire student body and staff were given yellow ribbons made by student council to wear. Student Council raised $675, which will be donated to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital for Pediatric Cancer Research.

Holy Family School is proud to do their part in helping to raise money to find treatments and cures for those children fighting cancer. Way to “Be A Hero and Go For The Gold” Holy Family!
