Valle Monte League is hosting its inaugural “What Matters Most Speaker Series” on May 17, 7-8:30 p.m., at San Jose Country Club featuring Dr. Thomas G. Plante, PhD, ABPP “Do the Right Thing. Living Ethically in an Unethical World.”

Dr. Plante is the Director, Spirituality and Health Institute at Santa Clara University; author, psychologist, ethicist, University Professor and Adjunct Clinical Professor, Stanford University of Medicine. How do you want to live your life? He will present, “how our actions and choices dramatically affect our thoughts and feelings about ourselves and the world around us; few things promote good mental health better than a clear conscience and the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ve done the right thing.” Yet, what are the right choices?

Cost is $25 per person payable to Valle Monte League, P.O. Box 5874, San Jose, 95150; space is limited. Proceeds benefit Valle Monte League’s four mental health agencies, Family & Children Services, Alzheimer’s Activity Center, The Centre for Living with Dying, Services for Brain Injury.
