We have SPIRIT, yes we do!! S.P.I.R.I.T! At Saint Leo the Great School, we definitely have school spirit, but that’s not the “spirit” here. S.P.I.R.I.T. is an acronym for spiritual, prayerful, inspiring, religious, involved, and teamwork.

On Oct. 26, the SPIRIT Squad at Saint Leo the Great School led the students on a walk of the Luminous Mysteries with a living rosary. There are 26 middle school students in the SPIRIT Squad all who commit themselves to the ministry of promoting prayer, ritual, Masses and the Liturgical seasons throughout the school year.

In addition to leading the living rosary, the SPIRIT Squad also breaks open the upcoming weekend’s Gospel every Friday morning with individual classes; making it an intimate setting allowing for discussion and questions. They also set up and clean up after every school Mass.

The SPIRIT Squad, their student leaders, and staff leaders are such a wonderful asset to Saint Leo the Great School because peers are guiding peers along their spiritual journey.
