The Student Council members of Saint Clare School held a “Quarters for Harvey” fundraising campaign for the victims of Hurricane Harvey over the week of Sept. 18 – 22.
The members decided the money should come from the students themselves and quarters are likely to be in the piggy banks of even the youngest children in TK. The council members also expressed a wish that the funds support a Catholic School in Texas hurt by the flooding and aftermath due to the hurricane. Mason jars were decorated by the Student Council members and placed in every classroom for three days. Many teachers reported overflowing jars by the second day of collection.
The Student Council of Saint Clare School is proud to present $860 to “Student to Student, A Catholic School Response for Hurricane Relief 2017,” a fundraising campaign by The National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) to support our Catholic school communities affected by Hurricane Harvey.
