Every year since 2003, Saint Joseph Catholic School has celebrated the members of our community who put their lives on the line every day to help make us safe. The day is called Red, White, and Blue Day. It is a day of celebration for their commitment and a day of remembrance for those who so bravely gave the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11.

Saint Joseph Catholic School was proud to invite 26 members of various community agencies including the Mountain View Police Department, Mountain Fire Department, San Jose and Redwood City CHP, San Francisco Police Department, San Francisco and Santa Clara Sherriff’s Department. There were also member of the military from the army, air force, and marines.

The celebration began with seventh grader Sophia Liste playing Taps on her trumpet. Each class gave either a recitation about the event on 9/11 or a patriotic poem about our American Flag. Three of the classes made gifts for our guests including beautiful red, white, and blue wreaths.
