Students and staff at Saint Catherine School, Morgan Hill, marveled at the beauty of God’s creation as they observed the recent solar eclipse. With only two days of school under their belts, students learned some of the scientific concepts of eclipses in their classrooms. Younger students watched the eclipse via the Internet, while older students used certified solar glasses for a hands-on adventure.
In addition to seeing the eclipse, several students commented on the change in temperature as the sun was partially covered by the moon. The first-hand experience and follow-up activities made this a day for all the students to remember.
