Students at Saint Christopher School have been learning to use the programming language Blockly in computer classes this year. The students are able to program loops, functions, conditionals and other algorithms through the website Code.org; a non-profit site funded by tech giants such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos to name a few.

The students begin the programming lessons in December with the site’s annual “Hour of Code” campaign and continue through the remainder of the year. One of the highlights of the curriculum is when students are able to see their programming skills in action with Dash and Dot robots.
