During early April, the Saint Lucy fourth grade was filled with visitors from times gone by as well as current celebrities. Authors, scientists, artists, athletes and royalty made their way to school as parents experienced the Annual Biography Breakfast. Students dressed as notable individuals as Neil Armstrong, Helen Keller, Jackie Robinson, Audrey Hepburn, Cleopatra, Frida Kahlo, Ben Franklin, Anne Frank, Steph Curry and many others. Immersing themselves in character, students spent the morning talking with parents, teachers and special guests. They shared stories about their characters’ lives, notable achievements and how many of these individuals’ contributions shaped the history of nations and the lives of many. These biography impressions not only taught the students about a variety of amazing individuals, but also offered learning opportunities in research, drama, and public speaking.
