Several members of the Saint Francis High School community rolled up their sleeves and showed their care and support for those living on the margins, exemplifying the Holy Cross charism of service to others. Volunteers gave their time and effort to clean and spruce up a shelter that provides vital transitional housing for homeless families.
Parents, students and alumni came together for the spring Family Service Day, organized by the school’s Holy Cross parent clubs as a way for families to know each other better and build community. Volunteers pitched in to refresh the LifeMoves Villa property in San Jose. They weeded, cleaned up a children’s play yard, organized the kitchen pantry, sorted donated clothes, all helping where they could to give the residents a welcoming and dignified place to live.
