The eighth grade class of Saint Frances Cabrini and their teacher, Monique Tobbagi, led the school in the Student Series, “Pennies for Patients” Fundraiser, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Inspired by Ms. Tobbagi’s sister, a Leukemia cancer survivor, the students brainstormed ways to raise money with the help of the Cabrini student, family, and staff communities. Classes held penny wars, eighth graders baked items for a school wide bake sale, and a $2 donation free dress day was held, all in an effort to raise money and help young kids battling these blood cancers within our community.

Over the course of two weeks, the eighth grade class was able to raise more than $5,000, an amazing accomplishment that could not have been done without the great support of this wonderful Saint Frances Cabrini School community.
