Valle Monte League, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit organization of 180 women in Santa Clara Valley whose mission is “to help provide and promote better mental health within the community” through mental health agencies. We successfully operate without an office and with no paid administrator.
Our annual fundraiser is Christmas Tree Elegance from which ALL net proceeds are distributed to these mental health agencies:
Family & Children Services provide professional counseling treatment and prevention programs, workshops and training sessions to everyone regardless of ability to pay. It is the oldest mental health facility of its type in the South Bay area community. Supported since 1954.
The Healing Heart Program offers children and adolescents who are facing loss, a compassionate environment where they can freely express their feelings and learn positive coping strategies. The Centre for Living with Dying offers volunteer counseling services to those facing life-threatening illnesses and who are affected by the approaching or actual death of a loved one. Supported since 1972.
Alzheimer’s Activity Center is an adult day program for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. It offers assistance with activities of daily living, health monitoring, support groups and education. Therapeutic activities and socialization programs are offered in a caring and cheerful environment where the clients are treated with respect and concern. Supported since 1986.
Services for Brain Injury assists adults and children with brain injury in reaching their highest level of independence through accessible services, family and caregiver support, community awareness and prevention of brain injuries. Supported since 2009.
Over the years, Valle Monte League has raised more than $9 million toward fulfilling our mission. The focus of our Christmas Tree Elegance, now in its 49th year, is the beautifully decorated Christmas Trees designed by professionals. The gifts that accompany each tree are secured by League members from businesses and individuals in the community.
Members also obtain cash donations for event underwriters, tree sponsors and other available underwriting opportunities. The beauty translates into excitement at the thought of winning a tree along with all of its gifts. All trees are given away, via donation drawing; one at each event and the remaining trees at this year’s “London After Hours” on Friday night which will feature the Joe Sharino Band.
Join us for “A Piccadilly Christmas – London Past and Present” at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose, 2050 Gateway Place.
