April 6 was a beautiful, very warm, sunny morning for Bishop Patrick J. McGrath, Monsignor Eugene O’Donnell, Father Jeff Fernandez, Father Peter Luc Phan and Deacon Willy Agbayani to celebrate at the dedication of Saint Francis Memorial Garden Expansion.

A gathering of 80 parishioners and surrounding community, including family and friends who have loved ones laid to rest at the Memorial Garden joined the dedication of over 900 new niches in our sections of Saint John the Baptist, Saint Victor, Saint Patrick, Saint Anne, and Saint Bernadette. The Blessing was followed with a reception and champagne toast celebration in the Parish Gathering Hall.

The testimony of people who choose to be inurned at Saint Francis of Assisi is that they love the close proximity to the parish, the hillside setting and most importantly daily Mass. They also find consolation knowing they will have visitors every week following Mass. The Memorial Garden is open 365 days of the year. There is never a locked gate at Saint Francis of Assisi so family and friends can visit when it is convenient with their schedule.

All Diocesan parishioners are welcomed at Saint Francis of Assisi Memorial Garden. Contact Frances Carrasco-Leyerle for pre-planning or at-need information 408-223-1770 x326.
