The Young Adults from Our Lady of Peace Church and Shrine would like to invite all young adults during this Holy Year of Mercy to the Spring Theology on Tap Series on Mercy at Mexicali Grill in Santa Clara. Theology on Tap Silicon Valley (TOTSV) is an opportunity for young adults (ages 21-39) to explore issues and topics that relate to the Catholic faith in a fun and casual environment.

The series begins on, April 20 when Bishop Patrick McGrath will join us for “Grill the Bishop.” Come with any and all questions that you ever wanted to ask a Bishop and he will answer them for you as he gets grilled! Fr. Gary Thomas, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Saratoga and Exorcist for the Diocese of San Jose, comes May 4 for “Confession, the Great Sacrament of Mercy.” James A Sonne, Professor of Law at Stanford University, will speak about “Universal Religious Liberty in the Year of Mercy” on May 18. Keven Staszkow, Director of Evangelization and Catechesis for the Diocese of Sacramento, will present “The Message of Divine Mercy,” on June 1, and Deacon Dominick Peloso, from the Church of Nativity in Menlo Park, will speak June 15 on the topic “Seventy times Seven: Freedom in Forgiveness.” The series will conclude with a Young Adult Camping trip June 24-26 at Pinnacles National Park.

TOTSV is held at Mexicali Grill, 3149 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95054. The presentation begins at 7:30  p.m. followed by Question and Answer. The evening ends around 9 p.m. Arrive before 7:10 p.m., and your first drink is on us!

No need to RSVP and NO admission cost! Just come and grab a seat or a bar stool, but get there early as seats fill up quickly. Socialize with other young adults over appetizers and a drink and listen to speakers who will teach us more about living our Catholic faith today.
