On November 19, the junior high assisted the Knights of Columbus in bagging groceries for local families. Their efforts benefited 120 local underprivileged families. Thanks to their efforts, needy families were able to have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Outside of the parish a group of eighth grade volunteers led by student Tommy Vo, helped prepare, cook, and serve lunch at City Team Ministries in San Jose. They spent the afternoon of November 21 barbecuing hamburgers and hotdogs. Working together, they fed over 200 homeless people.
On that same afternoon, Scout Pack 165 participated in an annual tradition called “Scouting For Food”. The weekend prior, Pack 165 walked around the community placing hangers on doorknobs advertising the event. On the 21st, they came around to collect donations. The donations benefited The Lord’s Pantry in San Jose.
