Saint Lucy Junior High students benefit from a diverse electives program. Students may choose one elective class each trimester from the following topics of interest: Art Exploration, Public Service Announcement/Broadcasting, Physical Education, Mad Scientist, The Stock Market, Lightning Gadgets, and Keyboard Fusion/Band. The electives classes are led by Junior High faculty members, and are designed to allow for deeper exploration of an areas of interest to the students. Students enjoy working together during electives.

The Broadcasting/Public Service Announcement elective gives students the opportunity to create and broadcast a public service announcement, using school broadcasting equipment and a green screen. During the Lightning Gadget elective, students create and market an invention. The Mad Scientist elective focuses on busting myths about advertised products. The Stock Market elective allows students to research and “invest” in the Stock Market, utilizing student laptops. During the Art Sculpting elective, students create sculptures out of a variety of mediums. Students in the P.E. elective are given the opportunity to have an additional P.E. class with an emphasis on conditioning.
