On September 21, the Knights of Columbus from Council 879 in San Jose presented the A.C.E Wings award to Lila Rose during a presentation she made for Theology on Tap. Lila Rose is a world renowned Pro-Life activist and she works tirelessly as an advocate for the defenseless pre-born children. A San Jose native, and one of National Journal’s “25 Most Influential Washington Women Under 35”, Lila made an easy nomination for this award. Lila Rose is the 1st non-knight in California to be recognized with this award.

ACE is an acronym for Pro-life without Apology, without Compromise, and without Exception. The ACE Wings Award program was established to recognize brother Knights who publically advocate for the right to life. However, once a year it is available as well to non-Knights who meet the criteria. The application and more information about this award can be found on the California Knights of Columbus State website http://kofcoc.org/ace.pdf.
