The Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA) held its annual awards luncheon on June 13 at St. Joseph of Cupertino’s Parish Hall. More than 100 parishioners, from across the Diocese, came together to honor the achievements of those “Called to Do God’s Work, Together in Christ.”

There were five awards that were presented to successful parishes by Diocese of San Jose Bishop Patrick J. McGrath.

Those award-winning parishes were:

St. Clare – Stewardship Award, which is presented to the parish that has gone above and beyond to ensure timely and accurate batching and pledge-record keeping.

St. Athanasius – Achievement Award, which is presented to the parish that achieved the highest percentage of fulfillment for the previous year’s Annual Diocesan Appeal.

St. John the Baptist – Capital Award goes to the Parish that received the greatest percentage of goal pledged.
San Jose Chinese Catholic Mission – Director’s Award, which goes to the parish having the highest percentage of revenue plaid, by the end of the active, in relationship to their goal.

St. Lucy — Bishop’s Award, which goes to the parish that has the greatest increase in participation from the previous year, and has reached their parish goal by the end of the active phase of the campaign.
